Fitzpatrick's Tavern: A Cozy American Pub Experience in Solvang

You either leave a review when it's really really good, or really really bad, Fitzpatricks Tavern is really really good!! Came in with a big party, our server was really nice and kind and patient (especially because of our party size). We had to wait a little longer than usual for our food BUUUUUT, it was worth the wait, the food was amazing!!! Everything tasted incredibly fresh. We had the chicken sandwich, pulled pork sandwich, chicken pot pie, lamb shank, salmon burger, Irish nachos and everything was beyond delicious!! We were also celebrating a birthday and their birthday announcement was so welcoming and awesome!! It was our first time here and we will definitely have to be back!!!

Super yummy and filling! Tbh I recommend getting the build your own slider combo because you get to try 2 different sandwiches and I personally found it very filling (and it's cheaper than a whole sandwich as well so it's more cost efficient). Our family also ordered the Reuben and shepherds pie and both were really good My biggest gripe was how long the service took because they had only one server and one cook. But we did come a few days after Christmas and I'm giving the benefit of the doubt that this is just a seasonal problem and hopefully not a regular thing.

Very enjoy the food here. My top picked from the menu: Corn Chowder Bread Bowl $12 cream based blend of carrots, potatoes, onion, celery, corn, topped with bacon Philly Cheesesteak $17 lean beef, onion, bell pepper, provolone cheese, fresh tocal bakery roll Fish & Chips $19 house battered cod, hand-cut fries. house slaw, tarter sauce It was a long wait. However, I totally understand. I visited this place during Julefest, a bit longer wait time to be seated. This place is small, even there were outside seats. Also there's one restroom outside, upstairs (need the code). I really enjoyed the food at this tavern. For sure would recommend this place.

Our party of 13 stopped in for some small bites. We ordered bit of everything from the menu to share and nothing disappointed. * Slider Burgers * Chicken Tenders with Fries * Chicken Pot Pie * Calamari * Goat Cheese and Beet Salad * Buffalo Bone In Wings I enjoyed the Chicken Pot Pie the most -- crust was so flaky and buttery, and the filling was the perfect creamy consistency enveloping chicken bites and vegetables. The kids loved picking at the wings, fries, and calamari. I'm sure this spot would be a good place to hit up for a lunch or dinner meal, but for our purposes -- it hit the mark. Our server was friendly and had a great sense of humor. Indoor and patio dining are options -- and bonus: dogs are welcomed!

Tired of wine and sweet pastries? Head to Fitzpatrick's for some good ole comfort foods and a brew. It's a classic Pub in the middle of Solvang. We walked in around 5pm... beat from wandering up and down the streets of Solvang all afternoon. All we wanted was a beer and some fish and chips. OK... I'll be honest... I wanted the beer. The others just wanted to get off their feet and relax for a minute. We were sat immediately as it was still a tad early for dinner. But when we left around 6:30pm, it was filling up and only a table or 2 was open and the bar was full. It can get a bit boisterous... seems some locals like to come here, and they all know each other. So... if everyone is talking all at once and what not, it gets "lively". If you are looking for a quiet bar, this is not it. If you are looking for a bar with good eats that has some 'Cheers' vibes, this is it. We ordered all sorts of stuff including the aforementioned Beer for me. Note... the portions are generous, and I would recommend sharing unless you are hungry or a big eater. I had the Beet salad and the wings (half and half). What can I say? I like variety. Beet salad was big and fresh. The wings ... hot and meaty. The others had fish n chips which were very good. I got a bite, and they were not greasy at all. The fish was nice and flaky. (I don't know why I'm surprised by this.) My other friend got the pot pie and really loved it. She said she should stop eating because she was full but kept taking bite. The friends also ordered the smothered fries of some sort that were uber filling on their own. I didn't have any cuz they were loaded with cheese which I can't have. Would totally stop in again if we are in the area.
